The Deli
Michou’s world class deli has been providing an international selection of ready to eat food (Grab and Go) since 2001. Everything for everyone, nothing is typical at Michou. Whether you are health conscience or splurging you will find something to enjoy here! Our panini-style sandwiches, soups, hot bar, salads, dips and desserts are prepared daily from scratch using only the best local ingredients. We believe purchasing from local farmers and growers not only supports our community but also provides our customers with the freshest food possible. Our salads are a top-seller for a reason: the fresh ingredients make them taste incredible!
Along with the staples of our menu, we rotate items to reflect available seasonal product. Come by and explore our ever-changing selection, which includes vegetarian, vegan, and whole-grain options often developed by our own deli staff.
Whether you take your food to go or sit at our window overlooking the market, our desire is to provide you with great local food with international flair for your Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.
Our Food
Michou has continually won awards for quality, including three Seattle’s Best Place Awards and Citysearch’s Best Takeout Award. We were also featured in Seattle Magazine’s “Best Takeout” issue and have been listed in several national and international dining guides. Not to boast, but our deli has continually been voted among the best in the city!
Visit us for lunch and you’ll see loyal and first-time visitors braving a line out the door for creative, delicious, and fresh food at reasonable prices. Some of our staples include the popular Sierra Chicken Panini made with grilled chicken, smoked Gouda cheese, greens and our signature chipotle sauce. If you’re a vegetarian, try the Teriyaki Tofu Panini, which includes feta and our signature teriyaki sauce. We always offer an assortment of fresh soups and salads made from scratch as well as comforting favorites like loaded baked potatoes, mac and cheese, shepherd’s pie, and many, many more. Looking for something sweet? Our treats include fresh-baked cookies, zeppoles (Italian “doughnut holes”), and flaky baklava.
Several new additions include a full breakfast menu and an extensive Hot Bar.
We also love to take something people may not like and turn it into their new favorite. Seriously, try our roasted brussel sprouts (Ralph says so!).
Location
Michou is located within the historic Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. We’re at the north end of the Market, North of Stewart on Pike Place — the main cobblestone street that runs through the middle of the Market. We’re on the East side of the street, a few shops South from the original Starbucks location.
Pike Place Market opened on August 17th in 1907 as a local farmers market and is one of the longest running markets of its kind in the United States. The nine-acre historic district receives about 11 million visitors annually and is one of Seattle’s most popular tourist destinations. Michou settled here in 2001 and have made it our passion of satisfy everyone, from long time locals to first time visitors. We invite you to come and visit us at Michou.
